Children’s Bookroom: Cover to Cover, Coast to Coast!

CBW-champion-FINAL“Cover to Cover, Coast to Coast,” is the theme for this month’s celebration of Children’s Book Week (May 2-8, 2016). Throughout the year, but especially this week, the goal is to applaud the joy of reading for young people. Started in 1919, Children’s Book Week initiative has become one of the longest-lasting national literacy program in the country. Events may occur at schools, libraries, bookstores, homes, or anywhere youngsters and books connect. Moreover, connecting children with books is the primary goal of this blog. So, during the last few days of this week, I hope you will celebrate Children’s Book Week with a special activity, party, library visit, or any other event you might create.

Please visit again next week as I discuss connecting babies and infants to books and reading!
